It’s the end of another week and the first of our blog posts on our brand new website. Alongside news about what’s happening inside our spa and with our spa family, we’ll be bringing you informative articles on the treatments we offer, posts related to wellness as well as posts dedicated exclusively to our regular, brilliant offers!
So, what’s been happening here at Health and Serenity?
The boring topic but the big one. You’ve probably seen all of the companies you’ve ever vaguely heard of lining up in your inbox to inform you that the rules are changing and they don’t want to lose you and that’s because of the new regulations from the GDPR.
What it essentially means is that you, the client, have more control over your personal data than ever before and it’s us, the business’ responsibility to ensure that your data is protected, secure and accessible to you at all times. We need to inform you if there’s been a breach, we need to remove your entire existence from our databases at your request and we absolutely can’t cram your email inbox full of things that are of little or no interest to you if you don’t expressly consent to us doing so.
For us, it’s been a week of ensuring your data is successfully protected both in the spa and on our website and for you – well, you’ve probably been deleting a lot of emails this week!
We’ve been going on and on about this since we made the deal, but we now have a partnership with the wonderful Beth’s Bakes. Beth is a local baker who makes incredibly delicious treats that sell out from her shop in minutes. Luckily for you (and us), there’s no risk of missing out when you book our sweet afternoon tea package. We serve Beth’s Bakes cakes with all our sweet afternoon teas for you to finally get your hands on a few alongside the traditional teas, fruits, and confections. We’re all for supporting other local businesses but who wouldn’t be when their products look (and taste) as amazing as these do?
The treat cards were launched earlier this month, but this week is when we really started to talk about them in more detail. We’ve been busy working with clients and behind the scenes working on changes to our systems, social media and website to ensure every experience you have with us is as relaxing as when you’re with us for treatments.
Our treat cards are a loyalty programme that mean you can earn 1 point for every £1 spent on a treatment within the spa. So, if your treatment costs £20, that’s 20 points and as the points accumulate they can be redeemed against a treatment you’ve never tried before. As a treat card member, you’ll also receive extra points for uploading reviews, selfies after your treatment and referring friends so there’s plenty of ways to get the ultimate treat for yourself a little quicker! Full terms and conditions can be found here.
The Last of Spring
As we’re now at the end of Spring and edging our way into summer, it’s the last chance for you to get your hands on our Spring offer – a fruity facial and express gel colour on hands or feet. The weather has been incredible for the past week or so and we’ve been taking full advantage of open toed shoes with brightly coloured pedicures and streak-free tans. This amazing package will be departing next week to make way for a brand new Summer offer which will run from June to August so make sure to book in fast if you fancy treating yourself to this one!
So, that’s all from us this week! We successfully booked up for our amazing Bank Holiday 50% off deal in less than a day so for those of you who managed to grab a spot for a treatment, we’ll see you Monday and next Friday we’ll be unveiling our new Summer offer. Make sure to follow our social media accounts to get up to date information on any offers and news from the spa in the meantime.
